Reactivity Reset Programme

A 10-Week Behaviour Modification Programme for Reactive Dogs.
If your dog lunges, barks, growls or loses control around other dogs, people, traffic or the environment, everyday life can feel stressful, embarrassing and isolating. The Reactivity Reset is a structured, supportive programme designed to change not just your dog’s behaviour, but how they feel and cope in the real world.
This is not a quick fix or a one-size-fits-all class. It is a personalised behaviour modification process that focuses on emotional regulation, calm decision-making and reliable responses under distraction. We work at your dog’s pace, carefully increasing exposure while building the skills and confidence they need to make better choices via in-depth private coaching, real-world training setups, controlled social exposure, and continuous support between sessions. You’ll learn how to read your dog, manage situations safely, and create lasting change rather than temporary suppression.
The goal is simple: calmer walks, safer interactions, and a dog who can cope with their world instead of reacting to it.

Calm and Control Programme

An 8 Week Training Programme for Real-World Reliability
If your dog struggles with pulling on the lead, poor recall, over-excitement, lack of focus or general unruly behaviour, the Calm & Control Programme is designed to help you build a dog who is a pleasure to live with and handle in everyday life.
This programme goes beyond basic obedience. It focuses on creating clarity, consistency and emotional balance so your dog can respond reliably at home, on walks and around distractions. We develop strong foundations in engagement, lead skills, impulse control and calm behaviour, then progressively proof those skills in real-world environments.
Through a combination of private coaching, group work, practical exercises and ongoing support, you’ll gain the knowledge and structure to train confidently, understand your dog’s needs, and maintain progress long-term.
The result is a calmer, more connected companion – a dog you can trust, enjoy and take anywhere with confidence.

1-2-1 Lesson
A dedicated private lesson with you and your dog, focussing on your specific goals, be it obedience, behaviour or scent work; either in person or a virtual option is available.

Home Visit
£70
For issues arising in the home, whether it's over excitement at the door, jumping up guests, counter surfing, settle or crate training; a home visit can be arranged to tackle these issues. Mileage will be charged for visits over 10 miles of NR28.
Day Training
£150
This is NOT a doggy day care, but a structured day of training for existing clients to compliment your existing training plan. Your dog will spend a whole day with a dedicated trainer, working on specific goals, issues or general obedience, including; recall, reactivity, socialisation, neutrality, engagement and lead walking.
An 8 hour day of training, tailored to your dog's needs with regular updates throughout the day and a full handover at the end of the day to assist you in continuing the training.
If your dog has not had prior training with us, you will be required to have a 121 assessment.
Residential Training
From £650 per week
Our residential training is the perfect service for the ultimate intensive training programme in a neutral setting to enable your dog to undo bad habits or behavioural issues and focus on new behaviours.
Your dog will stay within our home for the duration of their training with multiple training sessions daily, and plenty of time to decompress. Whether you're looking to deal with reactivity, lead walking, boundaries within the home, or just a general behaviour reset; we can help you. We will design a tailor made training programme for your dog for the duration of their, as well as a full handover and written plan at the end of they stay.
A minimum of 3 weeks is required for all residential training to allow adequate time to build a relationship, foundations and achieve the best possible results.
E Collar Training Package

Then E Collar training may be for you.
E Collar training is designed to allow your dog safe, reliable off lead freedom around any and all distractions. The stimulation of the E Collar is paired with positive reinforcement to reinforce behaviours.

Ongoing email/message support
Please note that if your dog has not had prior training with Akila K9 Training, a 121 assessment session will be required to determine suitability. Not all dogs are suitable for E Collar training and further training sessions may be required prior to E Collar training. Additional sessions may be required upon completion of the package, which will be charged at the usual 121 rate.
Please note that refunds can not be issued for any part of the course that is missed or not completed.
