About Us
I'm Alannah - the owner and founder of Akila K9 Training, established in 2022. I have always had a passion for dogs, growing up around them as a child. I am now the proud owner of two German Shepherd Dogs; Four year old Nala and two year old Nero, who take up the majority of my spare time - and that's just the way I like it!

Specialising in reactivity, I take a balanced approached to training and work with the dog in front of me. There are no quick fixes to training or behaviour modification and you always get out as much as you put in. I believe that it is important to take a holistic approach to fix issues and look at the wider picture when it comes to behaviour to find the WHY. Building solid foundations through relationship & play with clear structure and boundaries will set you up on the road to succes.
Whether you are struggling with reactivity, recall, general obedience or need some assistance with welcoming your new puppy into your life - our programmes are here to help! I believe that solid basic foundations are key to a happy, healthy, confident and well-balanced dog. I understand that dog ownership and training isn't one size fits all which is why each session is tailored to your dog's needs.
