E Collar Training Programme

E Collar training with dog
German Shepherd walking towards trainer

Do you struggle with your dog’s recall? Does your dog have a high prey drive? Will no amount of treats will entice them back to you? Do you want reliability and motivation in your dog’s behaviours? Then E Collar training may be for you.

E Collar training is designed to allow your dog safe, reliable off lead freedom around any and all distractions. The stimulation of the E Collar is slowly and carefully paired with positive reinforcement to reinforce behaviours.

Important: If your dog has not had prior training with Akila K9 Training, a 1-2-1 assessment session will be required to determine suitability. Not all dogs are suitable for E Collar training, and further training sessions may be required prior to E Collar training.

Frequently Asked Questions

Absolutely not. Dogs of any age can learn new skills. Whether your dog is 6 months or 10 years old, training can improve behaviour, communication, and your relationship together.

I use modern, relationship based balanced training methods tailored to each individual dog. Every training plan is designed around your dog’s temperament, motivation, and your personal goals, ensuring clear communication and lasting results.

There are no quick fixes when it comes to dog training, which is why we work through carefully structured training programmes rather than one-off sessions. This allows us to guide you every step of the way, building skills progressively while providing the support, accountability, and consistency needed to achieve long-term success. Our goal isn’t just to train your dog—it’s to give you the confidence and knowledge to maintain those results for years to come. We begin by laying the foundations in a controlled environment before proofing and generalising everything in the real world.

Not at all. I work with puppies, adolescent dogs, family pets, and working dogs. Whether you want basic obedience, better manners, advanced training, or help with behavioural issues, I can create a programme to suit you.
